Heather Herbeck

Biography

I grew up in Mankato, MN.  I have been active all of my life, with the typical school sports ~ basketball and track.  I competed in track through my college years.  It wasn't until I met my husband (over 15+ years ago) that I was shown how awesome the outdoors and outdoor living is.  Nate and his dad taught me to whitewater kayak.  I would say I was a pretty slow learner, I was just really scared.  It wasn't untl we moved to the Pacific Northwest that kayaking truly became a BIG part of our lives.

With over 12+ years of kayaking under my belt and my own personal training business set up, I find myself busy every day . . . but LOVE my work.  If I'm not paddling, I'm mt biking.  If I'm not training my clients, I'm working with a non-profit organization that provides outdoor experiences to cancer survivors.

I feel truly blessed to have had so many amazing opportunities.  Not one day goes by that I don't pinch myself.
