Schedule of the day:

10:00 - 12:00 - Strokes and Concepts in Flatwater

12:00 - 1:00 - The Kayak Roll

1:00 - 2:00 p.m. - LUNCH to refuel

2:00 - 5:00 p.m. - River Running techniques & Maneuvering down the river efficiently.

 

Details:

This clinic is geared towards the intermediate stages of paddling. We will focus on refining the BASICS through easy introduction and drills, covering:
* Posture
* Edging your boat
* Effective boat manuevering
* Correcting spin momentum
* Introducing or Cleaning up your Eddy Turns and Peel Outs
* The Kayak Roll 
* How to keep yourself from flipping over.

*  Making your strokes more efficient by learning how to link them correctly (Stroke Refinement)

*  Intro to Boofing

 

Requirements:  

*  Familiar with most strokes.

*  Familiar with the kayak roll.

*  Comfortable on Class III.

You will get "notes" at the end of the course that cover the skills and drills we practiced during the day.  Video will be captured of certain techniques, however due to time constraints, I will send you the video clips (after the course) with suggestions on how/what to improve.
